After planning our canoe trip with Clare, we had a great time on the day with Finn, our instructor making everything clear. Having time for lunch at The Boat Inn and then being picked up afterwards was a nice touch.

The booking process was really friendly and easy. Clare was very helpful and in offering us advice about what would be suitable for our family group including two kids aged 6 and 8. As we were complete novices we opted for a half-day guided trip. Prior to our trip she also kept in touch as a result of some dodgy weather forecasts and provided us with options to make sure we had the best experience possible. Our guide, Tim, was equally brilliant and very knowledgeable about the river, wildlife and local area. More importantly though he provided us with the skills we needed to navigate our way from Hay to Whitney and made sure we had a fantastic trip. To begin with we were a bit nervy and showing all the control of a one legged duck, going round in circles, but Tim's expert advice and patience meant we were in control in no time at all and were able to enjoy the scenery and wildlife a whole lot more. The trip finished at the pub, a result in itself and we were given the option to stay for a drink or even a meal or be taken back to our car. Want a canoe? did everything to make sure the day was ours and it was one of the best family experiences we have had. I always felt like they cared about us through every step and that is because they do. I would definitely book another trip with Want a canoe? again.
We've canoed with want to canoe? once before, and it was great, so we came back a second time. We had a lovely trip down the river after a safety and instructional briefing, and while we did capsize near our destination, the instruction from the briefing got us to shore safely, and a staff member arrived to help get us going again after we had difficulty doing so. We'd still go canoeing again, its just a lesson learned, and we feel tge wiser for it

Great day out, extremely well organised. The team are very friendly, from booking to greeting us, guiding us through the process - absolutely faultless. We had a lovely time on the river, doing something different to the normal. Final thanks to Billy for helping me and my Son, when we got stuck in the rocks straight away
