Terrible experience. Staff were rude, the toilets were out of order - so I asked the gentleman in grey uniform where the next toilets were, he grunted around the other corridor and walked off to gossip with the receptionist. Staff were in the reception area gossiping away whilst an elderly male patient was bleeding through his bandage in the reception waiting area. We raised the situation to get help but the receptionist just blatantly ignored us. Once the gentleman finally got help, we were all shocked to see his wife was left to mop the floor with tissues (which we and other patients sourced ourselves to help the lady). We offered to help, but she was so embarrassed and carried on by herself. No staff or nurses etc helped. Terribly uncaring... 20 minutes after the couple left for treatment the blood was still not cleaned up by staff. Other patients started walking and treading in the blood. We asked again for the blood to be cleaned up, to which the receptionist stated that she had called the cleaner. There was no infection control, another patient waiting for treatment had to put a wet floor sign ontop of the blood area to stop people walking through it. 30 mins later, there was still no cleaning of the area, it was how we left it. There were also no water facilities to get a drink, but strangely a dispenser of cups on a corridor wall- which had a layer of thick dust on top. And the triage nurse was unaware of dried blood on the floor right by her foot under the desk which we pointed out to the nurse, who was completely unaware of the blood on the floor. We were left disgusted and other patients refused treatment and walked out due to the terrible level of cleanliness and very rude staff.
