We reserved our car 6 months ahead of time. Our reservation, of course, contained our name, address, phone number, and email. During that 6 months no one from the company contacted us regarding flight times etc. So on arrival to Inverness, the local staff decided that our arrival time was not Convenient to them and so they left and went home for the day. They left us completely abandoned at the airport with no transportation. The company claimed they had no way of contacting us even though it is impossible to make a reservation without that information.My family had to scramble to arrange for a taxi to get us to our hotel. I called the Hertz company the next morning to make arrangements to pick up the car and they had already given the car away to another family. They were not sorry at all. They had zero remorse. And they did not do anything to help us with our transportation needs as we were visiting a foreign country. Luckily we were Able to do business with another company. But this mishap could have ruined our entire vacation. I will NEVER EVER do business with this company again and I will make sure everyone I know also knows how poorly we were treated.

We were picked up from Inverness rail station. Call 20 minutes ahead of time while you're on the train, since it takes some time for them to come to you. The driver was very friendly and gave us good tips on driving on the left side of the road. We got a nice upgrade (booked a premium class like Mercedes C class and got a Volvo V90) to boot

Car was great. Take note that the return instructions werent clear for early hours return. Had to park outside and throw the keys in. Remember to ask. Cheers

Be very careful renting here as they won't note all damages on vehicle properly when checking it out to you (this after employee saw damages and said he would make notation of damage type and location). You will need photos to prove your case. You will waste time on return digging up the photos to do so.

Difficult place to find unless you know. It's NOT in the airport. But in the industrial estate along the road. Helpful staff, shuttle bus driver super helpful and good craic. Always efficient, not always the fastest. One visit means many.

Picnic Blanket

Easy process and reasonable prices. You'll get picked up from the arrivals gate and transported to the hertz facility which is located 5 minutes out. Staff is lovely and helpful! If you choose to return the car filled up make sure you plan this before hand as there are no local petrol stations.
