Not too sure what Doug was expecting. It’s a Ferry Boat that takes you from A-B, not a luxury liner cruising round the Med. Boat departs every hour and a half from 10:30 at Kielder Waterside with drop offs at Tower Knowe and Belvedere across the lake. If you’re desperate for a hot chocolate, buy one before you get on. Also sells crisps and chocolate on board.

Very good place to visit.
It's a bit of a junky old ferry, serving Leaplish and Tower Knowe visitor centres and Belvedere architecture between April and September. There's a desperately dull automated commentary. It's accessible and if you're lucky they'll make you a hot chocolate but exciting and dynamic this isn't.
