The staff were very accommodating for a large group sitting 15 of us upstairs. The food was OK. I ordered a Bhuna and it tasted great but the chips were not good and some of the Naan breads didn't arrive till late. The service was top quality though and this helped my experience. Get some better chips ordered in and you're winning

We had a fantastic meal with you last night, actually was one or the nicest Indian meals we have had. Great service too, don’t put your prices up but the bill did lead me to ask if you had included the drinks, which you had!
The slowest service we've ever experienced, simply unacceptable. Staff were more interested in serving takeaway customer than people waiting at tables. It took an hour and 15 mins from ordering to get the starters for 4 people. Then another hour for the main courses. They kept saying 'its on its way' but ignored our requests to hurry up. Yes the food was good, but not worth such a long wait. Other tables also complained and had similar a wait. We were offered 2 free drinks, hardly adequate compensation on a 90 bill.
Main course had not arrived two hours after we sat down. So we left.
Just ordered a takeaway to be collected after 45 minutes. My partner went to collect it and had to wait a further hour in the restaurant. I called up and one of the staff members passed the phone over to another member of staff when I was in the middle of complaining. The manager was not much help either. Such a shame as The Valley in Corbridge had a much higher level of customer service and this branch is letting them down. Will not order from there again.
Loved the food, good service and a nice view over the abbey.
Nice curry, but hot upstairs and as we were a large group very slow service.... 1 hr 30 from sitting down to getting starters! But we all had a fun time.
