Run by the Corporation of London on the lines of Victorian values - the nude sunbathing area separated from the (much larger, and always nearly empty) “clothed” area by a grim metal barrier. Unfriendly, unpleasant staff, but sunbathing naked is fun, and cramped as it is, it’s a rare phenomena (if not unique). The pond itself is utter bliss to swim in, but you must be a competent swimmer - it is deep! Swimming among the ducks - if you swim ever so gently they let you come very close, and that is just great.

The men's pond has reopened and it is still the best place for a swim in London. You must now book a 1hr slot to come swim here, you are asked to only swim clockwise, to leave the pond from a different place from where you access it, and one at the time in the showers. Other than that, you are still in the middle of nature, in fresh cool water which is great for your body and your spirit. The sense of freedom swimming in this beautiful pond gives you is so special. The staff is super friendly and I love the sense of community there is between swimmers here, mostly regulars who have been coming for years. I only come swimming here in the summer but if you are a hardcore wild swimmer this is open all year round!

Excellent Covid controls in place - super helpful lifeguards and friendly. Adequate bathroom facilities. As for the ponds themselves - paradise. To have somewhere like this in central London is amazing.

A section of pond allocated exclusively for males to lark and swan about in the cold waters alongside a raft of ducks that might possibly include hens. Basic but perfectly adequate and supervised facility to make a splash and show off your different strokes.

Mostly chilled out space, popular with active Londoners training, Jewish community, gay swimmers. Unique space away from scrutiny and feels a bit special. Not for the faint hearted though.

This place is awesome from summer swims to the freezing winter swims .... If you need some timeout come for a swim here. Lifeguards are very friendly and look after everyone. Can't recommend this place enough ️
