I loved our visit. Make sure you buy some jam. It is the best. I also got a little knitted blanket for my puppy. We liked seeing all the animals and hope the staff morale stays good. We can't wait to come again thank you.

We have driven past the sign post to this sanctuary many times. Why we now ask did we not go before. We were expecting just horses, but not all the other animals. Sheep, goats, donkeys, alpacas and many small rescued animals. We had a fantastic time and would recommend a visit whatever your age group. A play area for the kids and even a three legged pig !

Hillside was absolutely AMAZING. We saw a sign near a beach in a different town nearby and planned to stop by this afternoon with our animal-loving son. I expected a run-of-the-mill animal sanctuary and was blown away by not only the amount of space, but also the incredible diversity of the animals they offer care to! Rabbits, guinea pigs, heavy horses, parrots and other birds, alpacas, sheep, pigs, donkeys... It was INCREDIBLE. They had informative posters about the origins for many of the animals and where or why they were rescued, along with large scale newspaper articles when they were featured. I was really impressed by the level of clear care and the passion for animals and rescue at Hillside and would definitely recommend it as a place to visit or as a place to donate to

Lots of friendly animals that are finally enjoying a quiet and peaceful life as nature intended. They are well taken care of and loved thanks to our contributions as visitors. You can help further by adopting your favourite one or simply making a donation. There is a small coffee shop and a gift shop too. Everything supports the sanctuary helping many more animals.

Great day out, social distancing in place, so not charging entrance fee as some attractions are closed, so a donation is optional, I hope everyone does, they have, so many animals to look after, the shire horses caught my eye, one especially Ruby, but all of the m are fantastic animals, cuppa available and soft drinks if required, please go and donate. Its such a worthy cause.
