We lost our beloved dog Max a week ago. When I contacted Absent Friends I was very distraught, but John immediately connected to my feelings, patiently giving me time to wipe my tears and find my voice again. When I took our boy to him he listened attentively to my requirements and explained calmly and clearly the options, never for a moment trying to push a sale. On the day of the cremation he gave us precious time to say our goodbyes. If you are looking for someone who is going to take care of your beloved pets and put them to rest with dignity and who can offer you a service with compassion at such a sad time, I highly recommend Absent Friends.

We used absent friends after we lost our poorly fur baby Ruby, after the initial hesitation due to not wanting to see our beloved baby leave our sides I gave them a call, they were very very kind, compassionate and understanding. The dreaded time arrived for us to take Ruby in to be cremated and we arrived at a very nice little yard, we were asked to come in by a very lovely lady who was so kind and very respectful to us and more importantly our Ruby. The process was explained to us and we went through to say our goodbyes to Ruby and she was gently placed into the furnace, the furnace was immaculately clean and the door was closed at our request. We collected her ashes and again we received a very warm welcome and we were handed her ashes gently. I can't recommend absent friends enough to anyone who wants a lovely send off for their fur babies. I would like to add a massive thank you from my family and I for the amazing service we received

Losing one’s dog is a very sad time for a family and we were distraught. But John is a man perfectly suited to his job. He was genuinely sympathetic and gentle with our beautiful Chilly. I don’t wish that you need his service but if you do then I commend him to you.

We required a cremation for our beloved dog. During these sad moments what you need are people that are passionate about the job and are understanding the situation. John has exceed the expectations, easing the situation and supporting us step by step during the whole process. He has been great! Thank you John
