Giving 1 star because I can't give 0. On hold for 29 min this morning and the guy who answered hung up the phone after I said my name. Amazing. Now tried again ONE HOUR WAITING AND GOT TO SOMEONE WHO SAID STRAIGHT AWAY SHE COULDN'T LISTEN TO ME AND I WASN'T ON MUTE. SHE ENDED THE CALL IN 10 SECONDS. Very poor service, waiting times, no email to go to and I have no hopes that they will solve my query... Awful!!!!

Been trying to contact someone that can help for over two weeks. I have been put on hold several times for a minimum of 25 minutes to over an hour to be transferred yet again and put on hold again. Sent e-mails asking for help and all I got was a generic answer that was absolutely no use. HER MAJESTY's REVENUE and CUSTOMS can pay my tax bill this year then

It's scandalouds. I have to pay 800 for a tax I have never submitted. I registerdd a Partnetship that didn't earn more than 1000-1500 per year. I had a loss of 40 in the first year and a profit of 60 in the second year. I found myself over zelous about my profits, and now filled two years of taxes and 800 in fines. HMRC doesn't send you emails about your 100 or 300 fines. You find them in your account messages, after months, if you don't check your HMRC account. It's ridiculous how they charge immense penalties to people that barely make a 1000 per year in revenue with 40 losses and 60 profit. Don't charge 300 over 200 profits, it doesn't make sense. You could have percentage penalties from profits, that would make sense, or a threshold for when you charge percentage and when you charge 300.

So far today, I've been cut off twice.Ive been on hold for an hour each time before the line goes dead. I made a tax payment 3 months ago, and It hasn't shown up on my government gateway account. Instead, i get a threatening letter about unpaid tax. I don't understand how this service is so bad. It's an absolute joke. Apparently 66,000 people are employed by HMRC......but none of them know how to answer a phone
