Keeps changing... added Argos and Habitat but now Habitat is gone. You can get pretty much what you need. We really just go there for paint.

ordered on line a hedge cutter, gave me a grass strimmer. damaged outer package, so they said there would be a discount. none given. Rang up service to arrange correct replacement....terrible in store helpline. Informed me they don't have any in stock, ( nor did they when I ordered).Highly unimpressed. Won't use this firm again.

Used click and reserve, went into store to pick up item to find it wasn't in stock, there was a problem with the system. Was asked if I wanted to order in and collect at a later date or travel to another store in Selby where the system showed three of the item in stock. Used click and reserve as we wanted to purchase the item and spend the afternoon using it so neither of these options were suitable now did we want to spend any more time or money on travel. Contacted Homebase via email and promised a reply within 48 hours, no reply five days later so left a comment on twitter which prompted a fast response from customer services who apologies and told me my email "may have become lost on our system" I forwarded my original email to them and they then forwarded it to the store manager, Jonathan Arbuckle, who emailed me to ask for a phone number "to take feedback and discuss what we've done on the back of your complaint". Didn't really want to listen to any more insincere apologies and excuses so told them I didn't see any point in giving them my phone number, haven't heard anything from them since. If we are looking to purchase any DIY or home and garden items in the future we will exclude Homebase from the search.

This web site gives a telephone number that is supposed to be that of Homebase @ York however having gone through the menu and pressed 4 then 2 for the garden centre I was answered by Argos Direct who seemed puzzled and slightly grumpy. They passed me on to another lady who was Homebase Direct who then gave me the number I had already dialled. Maybe someone in your website department could amend the mistake and actually put in the correct address which I found in the telephone directory!!
