This is a lovely little restaurant with a very cosy decor nicely spaced and a good buzz about it on this particular Saturday evening. The staff are all attentive and polite and despite a decent wait of 30 minutes or so for our food we were extremely satisfied when it arrived. Beautiful flavourful and aromatic dishes and nice portions. Highly recommended.

Zero measures in place for safety against Covid-19. No tables had been moved, no social distancing, no queuing, no masks, no visors, no plastic screens, no nothing. Absolutely zero care or effort. It was like going to the restaurant back in February 2020. Disgraceful in my opinion. Other establishments have put so much effort in and followed the guidelines, but Penshaw Tandoori has done nothing. Why do they think they are an exception? Makes me question them as business owners, and makes me wonder which other rules and ethical guidelines they DO NOT follow. Incredibly disappointed in this local business.

Purchased 2 meals... one being a korma which was OK and my partner was happy my balti however was swimming in grease and the chicken was like eating chewing gum!!! Terrible ... incase you're wondering i ain't going back

The food was delicious, the atmosphere lovely, and the service excellent. I had the prawn vindaloo. I tucked in straight away, so no pics!
