Awesome shop we know most of the staff by name now. Very polite and friendly. Fair prices I personally have bought, sold and pawned here. And is always an all round pleasant experience. Highly recommended

I was in town having been to the Dickinson Real Deal for valuation. Wasnt impressed as they said the diamonds on my items were not real!. Popped into Harvey and Thompson to get an opinion. My items were 22ct gold and real diamonds. They gave me a good price. All 3 of the staff there were helpful, professional and I was impressed particularly with the Manager who explained every step in detail. I have no hesitation in recommending this branch in Nottingham .Thank you girls...

The staffs are very polite. I was greeted with a warm smile and very welcoming. The lady who served me, Alexandra, was exceptional, she was patient, very explanatory. I had a gold chain to sell. She gave me a good deal compared to five other stores I've been to. Thanks Alexandra.

Easy to find, well-staffed shop in the centre of town. Very matter of fact, hard-nosed staff that’ll chuck your jewellery on the scales, tap the calculator and offer you a price to pawn it. They assume all gold is 9ct unless you tell them otherwise; they look at the gemstones but neglect to include them in the valuation. You’ll get about 1 per carat per gram at an interest rate of about 10% a month. An expedient and reasonable solution if you need to raise a few quid sharpishly but they must have birthdays every day from unredeemed pledges. If you redeem a pledge within 14 days you can withdraw from the contract under the terms of the Consumer Credit Act which means interest is charged at a daily rate not monthly. The staff member was a bit “sniffy” when I did this and asked why. I thought it was obvious, in that I paid 4 interest rather than 12…patently an option that they don’t volunteer to qualifying pledges.
