This railway station sits on the line that heads towards Huddersfield in one direction and towards Sheffield in the other direction. There is a nearby car park that can accommodate about 8 or 9 cars. Yes there is one space for a disabled driver. And yes there is a drop-off area as well. This railway station has only one platform, and it also only has one railway line passing through it. There are a number of areas where people can sit down and wait for the train. Some of these seating areas are covered as well. There are no on-site staff here and consequently there is a automatic ticketing machine on the platform. This railway station also has a bicycle rack and can accommodate about 2 or 3 bicycles at best. There are visible signs of security at this platform by way of closed-circuit television cameras. I only decided to give this railway station three stars out of five because the station signage from my perspective wasn't great. In fact when I went into to the entrance (that I thought was the entrance), it confused me because I ended up going up some old dirt track which lead to nowhere.

One of those unstaffed platforms that can only just scrape under the wire of being considered a stop. Can't really call it a station there is only one track for the whole thing. But it does provide convenient access to the local area, shops and walking trails. Plus if you think the train station is bad, check out the local bus station Space to sit while you're waiting but no facilities.

Great Station! Been going for years. It was my local, but isn't any more. There needs to be more there that's all.
