I became sick of the torrent of:\n\ncoffee’s; cocktails; cars; designer clothes; desserts; easy money schemes; outfits; fitness fads; influencers and product placements.\n\nI wanted to bring something different to my Instagram page, a break from all the materialistic bragging, to something beautiful and interesting. I decided to post stunning imagery that people could enjoy whilst madly scrolling, if only to captivate for a few seconds and emote something worthwhile.\n\nYou may wonder what sort of photographer I am; landscapes, portraiture, fine art ? It’s easier to tell you that I am not a commercial photographer, I don’t do paid commissions or get told what to create. Photography is my creative outlet and as such it is entirely unconstrained and free. As such I dabble in whatever I enjoy, so landscapes yes, portraits yes, fine art yes. And anything else I feel like creating I will. The label associated with it is something I couldn’t care less about and would not confine myself too. Each image I have featured on this site has been crafted and created for creativities own sake.\n\nI will continue posting images for free on my Instagram, so everyone and anyone can view and hopefully enjoy them, however with this website there is now the possibility to experience a physical print and support a photographer in the process.\n\nMaking this website was never really my plan, the only reason it now exists is because of those people that requested I start selling photographic prints. To those people (you know who you are) thank you for believing in me to start on this journey. More specifically though my sister really pushed me to start some form of print shop so this is dedicated to her.\n\n\nWhy Prints? I mean we live in the digital age now right?? \n \n\nPhotographs are possibly more important within society today than ever before. Images, like all art, have the potential to be incredibly powerful and impactful. Today in a world filled with smartphones everyone is a photographer. And this is brilliant. Everyone now has a means to capture and share their perspective on a global scale. As I mentioned in the last section however this is not always utilised to its full potential. So even though everyone now has camera rolls full of images: Peoples walls and shelves stand void of any imagery or personality. \n\nWhat’s better then holding a tangible photographic print? Or to have one displayed proudly on an empty wall or shelf? Something beautiful, inspiring or otherwise moving that you can enjoy time and time again. In fact, I would advise everyone to pick five of the best most meaningful photos and go get them printed either online or at a local printing terminal (located within most supermarkets now) at a standard 6X4 size. Then white-tack them to your bedroom wall or anywhere you can appricate them. It will cost you a pound or two and bring you immeasurable amounts of joy. I guarantee though that none of your chosen photos will consist of a disposable coffee cup or a freshly washed brand new fashionable car.\n\nThere are key advantages to having prints over viewing digitally:\n\nEnergy efficient: They consume no power, never need to be recharged, never stop operating and never cost you money for screen repairs!\nElegant, what’s more classic then a photo mounted within a nice frame?\nLarge sizes, even with today Phablet's (Phones with screens the size of tablet computers) print sizes can easily exceed any phone or tablet. I am a massive advocate for big prints as to me they feel much more immersive by comparison to being seen on a tiny 5-inch phone screen. Did you know that the standard 6X4 inch photo size (often the smallest photo size you can buy) is still larger than the largest phone screen (EG: iPhone 11/X, Google Pixel XL, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, Huawei P30 Pro to name but a few)? So why not get a 20X16 inch print and love the immersion it provides?\nBe different, whilst everyone is starting at photos of takeaway coffee cups and unaffordable cars why not look at something beautiful and hopefully meaningful?\nYou can support local artist in the process .,The Story Of A Photographer
