Went in the new Church Street Cafe for the first time since its refurbishment, have to say I'm a bit disappointed. The atmosphere and ambience is non existent, decorated and furnished a bit like a comprehensive school dining room. It needs comfy chairs and a couple of sofas and a bit of colour, ceiling too high and feels bare. Prices gone up as expected but service and food not as good. It's a real shame as it's Sutton's only cafe, but it's lost all the warmth and village feel, won't be going again.

I've visited this place for years and it's a really lovely family run cafe. Perfect for catching up with my friends for coffee and cake or my husband loves the wonderful breakfast. the only downside to this place is the lack of toilets. Not such a problem for us adults but when we have the kiddies with us when they need to go they need to go. I had to take my granddaughter to the back of the car park in the pouring rain. I will think twice about going back now .
My husband & I often walk here for our scone and flat white (great to enjoy a real flat white). Also a great toasted tea cake. Staff are always friendly and quick to serve. We love it. Do we wish there was a customer toilet...yes but this does not detract from this lovely independent cafe working hard to survive in this climate.
Must try food lovely
Often wait a long time for food but this time our order had been misplaced!?. Just what you need to start the day. Won't be going back.
Lovely place to have a bite to eat either in or take away.
Always been my favourite place for a fat sausage and bacon sandwich
The staff are lovely and the place is very quaint. Only.criticism is that there are no toilets. !? Absolute deal breaker. I have kiddies and I am sure cafes are obligated to have toilets ? Staff told me the nearest were T the pub up the road ....!!
