I am a meeter and greeter at the food bank. My purpose is to make people feel comfortable about being there - many are ashamed that they need to come often thinking that it's for poor people and they shouldn't be there. Confidentially means I can't say more on the myriad of reasons people come to food bank. I also signpost them to other organisations that could help them with other aspects of their problems.
