Just had a most excellent evening, vibrant atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and wonderful food. Based on tonight's experience I would suggest booking is essential. We were booked for opening time at 19:00 and arrived 5 minutes late, the restaurant was already almost full at that point. Heartily Recommended.

My partner and I came in here for dinner and this truly was a delightful experience. The ambiance, setting and seating felt really cosy and romantic but adhering to all covid-19 social distancing rules at all times. The restaurant is situated on the corner of Fore Street, where you can watch the world go by. I must add that Take Thyme was spotlessly clean throughout the restaurant. The food was absolutely stunning and beautiful and tasted exquisite. I had the fishcakes and seabass and my partner had the fish chowder and steak. This all came with new potatoes and a beautiful salad. For dessert we shared a cheese board and we had a beautiful bottle of red. Value for money was also outstanding. I highly recommend Take Thyme to anyone visiting or local to the area.

lovely fish & seafood restaurant, very tasty food, excellent service in a lovely spot on a corner near the harbour, a bit pricey but as a treat or special occasion i would highly recommend
