Useful shop due to staff who know their stuff. I guess a photographic shop for all would be semi professional photographers who need to improve their kit. The fact its run by photographers for photographers makes it all the more special.

I recently had a series of canvases made up at Jessops in Ispwich. The service was really friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring all pictures were suitable and advised on sizing and edging to go for, especially where the picture was wrapping round too much. Excellent service and I now have some amazing canvases thanks to their help
I managed to find a great camera with the help of the staff demonstrating and describing the various other similar models. I was able to try the cameras out and ended up making a bundle deal with some accessories that i needed. The store is small but it has a good range of cameras, accessories and services.
Some terrible reviews on here and if I had only dealt with the new girl, who’d been there for a week, I would have also written a terrible review, BUT, I got the manager, and what a lovely, extremely helpful guy he is. He refunded for a camera with no problem, sold me a different camera at the same price rather than the extra 10 that the makers said; set up the camera with wifi for me and also printed out a couple of pictures from my phone. Jessops were competitive on price for this camera and this guy has earned my loyalty because of his amazing service. Mind you, I shall alway wait to be served by him now.
Great knowledgeable and helpful staff
I travelled from Chelmsford to Ipswitch to purchase a Panasonic camera. I telephoned in the morning to confirm stock and was told that the camera I wanted they only had the display model which I could have or they could get me one in for Monday. Arrived at the store to be told they didn't have it in stock and I must have got the model number wrong. The shop has no stock shelves are empty.
Ipswich Branch. I was very disappointed yesterday. As I am not very good with technology I asked for help to enlarge my 3 photos. The man who helped convinced me to accept the matte option for starters which I did not even understand. All the three photos were for my partner wearing a tshirt with a Diesel label which he loves so dearly. The label was in form of the word ‘Diesel’. I was advised to come back after an hour for collection. When I went back to collect the photos I did not like them. First of all they were so hazy and I could hardly tell these were my partner’s photos. The word Diesel had been cut to 4 letters reading ‘Esel’. I then made it clear that I was not happy. The man then said that was the best he could do with my square pictures and he had previously displayed the pictures on screen for me before sending for printing. He then called a colleague who supported him. However I reminded him that I did not understand this technology and I made it clear prior to printing., Therefore, I could not understand his justification for the appearance of these enlargements. When I said I wasn’t happy to take the enlargements as they were, the man tore all the 3 in front of me and said “you have paid for them anyway and there is no refund “.. I found this so rude and disrespectful. I then left the shop puzzled. I believed that when I am not happy with the service then I get a refund and try somewhere else but this was not the case. Thanks to the Ipswich branch. The enlargements were meant to be my partner’s birthday present for Saturday. Gutted.
