A magical and enchanting place set in a magnificent landscape. The visitor centre has an excellent cafe with a good selection of drinks and homemade cakes. There is also a good gift and souvenir shop with lots of interesting local arts and crafts. You don’t have to pay anything to see the stones but there is a small charge to enter the museum. I highly recommend taking an hour or so to walk to the other surrounding sites at Callanish II and III, which are just a couple of kilometres away. It is also easy to catch the W2 bus to and from the centre.

Very interesting place. Wet and misty when I was there so not great views, though very atmospheric. Each stone seems to have its own personality - beautiful to look at and touch. Fascinating exhibit on the area and the stones (at a charge) and a lovely cafe
I find things like this completely breathtaking, this is a must see if you are visiting the island. When we went the stones were roped off to let the grass rest so we couldn't get close to the stones.
So much history! Great view at the top of the hill, and the little shop below serves a delicious fish pie. Awesome stop and I highly recommend.
Truly amazing place this island is so is jurassic love the Hebrides how can you not take in all of the history surrounding the Hebrides lower and higher and stunning scenery
