What an amazing place for rescued donkeys to live. Staff and volunteers are so caring, friendly and knowledgeable. The cafe serves great food and coffee and the shop is a little treasure trove. It’s free to enter but please donate - it’s a charity and they need money to keep going. They also have an Amazon wish list for things they need to look after their donkeys. So worth a visit

Really fantastic place, perfect for a morning or afternoon out. The charity does valuable work in providing a loving and peaceful home for the donkeys. Idyllic surroundings and the donkeys are very gentle, they love being stroked! Visited last week for the first time since 1997 and enjoyed it just as much as I did then, as a 4 year old. There is a great cafe too for refreshing hot & cold drinks, food too if you're after lunch. Great for kids. Great for adults.

Such a lovely place to visit, very relaxing and a great idea to have all the donkey's names on them

This is a great place to visit even during the pandemic. You can tell that the donkeys are very well loved and looked after! We stopped here during a day trip to the island and it was really lovely to meet the four legged residents. The donkeys love a good fuss and occasionally a bit of yelling but I'd say IOWDS is a great place for all the family. Make sure to visit the restaurant and gift shop! I need to get myself a hoodie.

Lots of lovely donkeys. Nice staff. Good food - veggie and vegan food available if that's your bag.

Always a good trip to the donkey sanctuary and free entry for the whole family but I suggest you leave some good contributions to keep the place going. The revamped cafe is excellent and we had two really good meals. Unfortunately I couldnt fit cake down. You can adopt a donkey which makes a great Christmas present for people that have everything and you do some good.
