James is a great teacher, my 14 year old son Harry loves having guitar lessons with him. He has taught him since the beginning of this academic year and his enjoyment of James’ lessons is certainly reflected in his playing and confidence. James has continued to teach online right through lockdown. Having online lessons to look forward to weekly has helped make this time much easier for Harry. He has made a real effort to get to know Harry and the types of music he enjoys, while also introducing new genres and expanding the range of music he plays. I can’t rate James highly enough.

James is a fantastice guitar teacher! He has taught my son weekly for 9 months now and right from the word go he put him at ease, finding out his existing skill level and the type of music he likes and wanted to play, tailoring the sessions around his interests. Nothing is too much trouble for James when it comes to his students, he sends over music from the lessons to allow home practice and has adapted the lessons to be online during the current situation. I'd highly recommend him.

My son has been having weekly acoustic guitar lessons at BSCS with James since September. Since the lockdown my son has started electric guitar sessions with James online. He really enjoys these sessions and it has been good that they have this continuity. I can tell there has been an improvement in his playing. James is very patient with my son especially if he makes mistakes. I would definitely recommend James to others.
