I attended the store this evening as I needed eggs mainly to make a cake for my grandsons birthday. Whilst going through the main doors I was asked to put my mask over my nose as I already had over my mouth. My issue is that in front of me was a family of 5 people, both parents and three children of which none of the 5 were wearing masks. Clearly I was singled out as I was on my own.

Quite recently I needed some emergency fruits for a special gathering. For no apparent reason did I ever consider Asda to come to my rescue. Anyways I enquired with a few other places and to be fair it was very much short notice. So i required large quantities of apples, pears and bananas. Spoke to the customer services at the store who then in return put me in touch with the fresh fruits department. Spoke to a wonderful gentleman on the phone called Shaz (who I believe is the department manager.) He went out of his way and stayed on the phone telling me about prices and and also special offers. He then proceeded to tell me if I could come down he would have the items ready or we could select together. Sadly when I got there (with no fault of his own) shaz wasn't able to help as he had to be taken away for new staff induction. I was allocated another gentleman by the name of Usman who not only spent his time helping me with the items he packed..boxed and assisted me to my car with the load. I must say these levels of customer service are very hard to come by these days. ASDA should feel.proud to have two very outstanding individuals in their ranks. As if it hadnt been for them I most probably would have looked at the other supermarkets.
I am glad that they refuse entry to people not wearing a mask, but this should have been done may 2020 which I was annoyed with, hence not done a lot of shopping at asda since, Seattle coffee is take out in the upstairs cafe but I have been twice and the staff don't give you what you order why I do not know.
Close by, open space. Good customer service.
Over priced as it is used for their rollback scam, fresh products are so close to the sell by date you can't do a full weeks shop & one would have thought they had enough cctv but the have installed tills that record your face or has facial recognition... I can understand at an atm but for a loaf of bread?
