First class service! I had to make an emergency visit to Vets Now on Sunday as my dog was attacked by another dog. They were fantastic, keeping me informed while they were treating him & even helped with the Insurance claim. Thank you all so much.

The most disappointing thing I feel about the service is that there would appear to be only 1 vet on!! Despite dropping everything and rushing there from Ayr with my puppy, when we got there we had to wait for what seemed like a significant period of time, which in my case made it get near to the time I could have been seen at our own vet back in Ayr! As the vet was dealing with another patient we had to wait. This is upsetting for me as I specifically asked by phone in advance whether we would be seen on arrival. Obviously, the deal is that only one vet is on each service. If I had known that I may not have taken my dying puppy to Kilmarnock. In the way that the admin task was performed by the Vets Now out of hours team was in my opinion insensitive. They were completely unhelpful and showed a complete lack of compassion with regard to filling out what appears to be a complex form. I was taken into their office and they wanted details I did not have to hand eg PetPlan Policy number. When I offered to pay the whole amount on my credit card just to be able to complete the task they didn't seem happy with that (don't know why) and instead asked for a copy of my driving license. Whilst the admin person was away photocopying my driving license, I did scroll down emails on my phone to find the policy number just to be then asked if I knew how much the excess was !!! Of course I didn't. At this stage another staff member was waiting with my dying puppy in her arms in the lobby waiting for me to collect and take away (at my request) to be treated further in Ayr which was now thankfully open! Where is the compassion Vets Now??? I hope no-one ever has to be made to feel like that. Those times are hard enough. My own vets (Dalblair Vets in Ayr) did everything they could for my little pup, but she sadly passed away an hour after arriving back in Ayr. My own vets proved you can also be compassionate with the owners, this emergency vets has a lot to learn.

Service was so efficient, staff were extremely friendly and the system was quick and easy to use. Advice was given there and then and local vet was informed about my pending visit. I could not be happier as my cat was treated within the hour and was back home that evening.

The care my rogie received at vets now was top class. They were so good with us as well. When he passed they were so kind and sent a card with forget me not seeds. A lovely touch. They girls on the phones were so helpful and understanding. X
