This is an excellent ruin to visit. Plenty of open space and some interesting past to read about. If you’re and English Heritage member you get in free and as it’s one of only a handful EH sites in Norfolk it’s worth visiting. The ruins consist of mostly exposed walls etc but (when not covid) there are a couple of rooms to can go inside. Some of the walls contain some interesting rocks and you can spot the odd Geode nestled in the flints. Combine this with a walk around the village and a look at the castle at the other end of the village for a nice half day out.

Lovely visit. Fun map and learning opportunities for the children

One of the best priory /monasteries I have been to. Impressive both by its size and the fact that parts are roofed and in surprisingly good shape. An excellent audio guide can be downloaded free of charge to both provided information and bring to life what it must have been like in its heyday. The castle, also an English Heritage site, is only a quarter of a mile away and well worth a visit in its own right (free) with some of the most extensive earthworks in England. The village has both good pub and cafe.

This place is massive, there's so much to see. Ideal for adults and children alike and perfect in the current climate, due to it being located on a spacious, outdoor site. The ruins are very impressive, there's lots to learn about the history of the priory and the lives of those who lived there. We will definitely be returning another day.

A very well preserved ruin with an intact farm building and exhibition. The 12th century latrines were amazing. Friendly staff in the shop/admissions desk too. Convenient Picnic benches on a grassed lawn area. Great place to spend a few hours.

Great if your a member of English Heritage. If not a little expensive. Grate ruins and landscape to explore, takes about an hour to look around it really well. Try and find the giant building just for the Monks toilets lol.
