My roller shutter door stuck open yesterday, mid morning. I called a few other companies who couldnt get to me for a week - but Kingswood Doors said they would come after their other work for the day. They turned up much earlier than I expected, and they had a motor on the van that they could fit to replace mine that had failed. The guy who came was friendly and knowledgeable, and I was very happy that the problem could be sorted asap - as the door could not be wound down manually due to another fault - which the guy also sorted. Very happy with the service, would highly recommend.

Kingswood Doors fitted my garage door and left a gap along the bottom about 1/2 cm big. I contacted them as I had to put a rubber strip along the bottom to keep leafs/ bugs and everything else out. This meant the door was bunching up. I needed a small change to the settings so that the door would stop 1/2 cm higher than it was. The boss told me they would do it but would charge me 85 VAT to do it. He is an extremely rude man. I tried to reason with him and said I didn’t mind paying something but nearly 100 was too much as it was them who left the gap in the first place and I have already paid them over 2k, plus I am less than a mile from the showroom. He was having none of it. Apparently this is very common with Kingswood Doors. When the door goes up and down it makes a terrible noise and I’m just waiting for it to stop working completely. I’m afraid I cannot recommend Kingswood doors at all. Their customer service is awful and workmanship is very shoddy. If you are planning on getting a electric door for your garage it might be worth paying a little bit more and get a professional job done. I really regret using them. They have really left me in the lurch. If you are Kingswood doors and are reading this please do the right thing and I will gladly share it on here! Otherwise I must say AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Fantastic service as always from Jamie and his team, motor failure and a real messy job to sort out as damaged all the brackets. All completed quickly and without too much fuss. Thanks again.
