Today we attended "Little Engineers" my little boy loved every minute, excellent value for money and great facilities. He loved the train rides, the park and the fact that he could watch the refilling of water for the steam train and the turn table being operated. Excellent covid safety measures in place too, clearly signed and well explained by the lovely ladies on entry (but there is no accounting for people who do not pay attention!) Thank you, we will definitely be returning!

Lovely little place, had a great time on Friday, fun for all the family, cafe, gift shop, steam train and miniature train plus a little tram, and a playground, plenty of tables and benches to have your picnics,i recommend a visit.
Brilliant half a day with kids. Nice little train. Volunteers mostly run the place. Special thanks to David he make are day oven better. Very friendly atmosphere. The wizard academy was very funny. We enjoyed so much everything there.
Brilliant day out, great train ride, lovely volunteers to talk trains with, fantastic playground at each end of the line, and some great locos. The cafe looked good but we didn't use it. The shop was a little "Thomas" heavy but had a nice range of treats. The miniature railway out the front was good. I can't recommend it enough.
The train and park is excellent. However the over zealous member of staff who could not allow me to 'cross over' from the shop to the cafe on monday was rediculous. It was a new place to us and I made a mistake coming in the wrong door, there was no one else waiting to come in the correct door and I was standing in the cafe area when the member of staff insisted I had come in the wrong way and she could not allow it. So she made me walk back out on to the platform and around the main building to the front where she rediculously asked me where I wantd to be..in the Cafe. Your huge lack of common sense and hospitality got you a 1 star review.
What a great place to bring our grandchildren! Free parking and one of the best play areas in Kirklees. Miniature train rides at the station as well as the Light Railway to Shelley Station where there is another excellent play area and bouncy castle. The cafe offers excellent food, drinks and ice cream at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A great day out for the kids, mums and dads and grandparents!
