If you have dogs(kids also) and your in the vicinity this beach is a must visit for 2 very good reasons. Firstly loads of space for them to run about more sandy than rocky and the sea doesn't get too deep too quickly the further into it you go. There is parking across from a house next to a waterfall for about 10 cars on the left hand side coming from Shiel Bridge turnoff. Secondly the road to get to the beach is a MUST SEE mainly single track road with numerous passing places folks with motorhomes if i was you i'd spend the night parked up at Mon Ratagan car park where the views are simple fantastic and is what makes Scotland one of the most scenic countries in the world. You go up on one side of the large/tall hill and come out on the other side to be treated to an equally superb views there all in all well worth the 8 mile detour from Shiel Bridge and you can do it all again going back stunning !!!!
