I passed by this remote mountain hut on the Kintail trail. The path is clear and well marked but I could not cycle it with luggage extremely rough and narrow. The hut looked well maintained and set in a prime location for serious Munroe bashing.

During a cycle trek through Glen Affric to Morvich a mate & me got caught in some horrendous weather. We came across this Bothie just in the nick-of-time. The Bothie was dry and had plenty of space - 2 rooms of four beds with a central passageway. The room we slept in had a picnic bench with some leftover snacks & sauces, a few candles and a lighter (although we had our own). The beds (2 x wooden bunk beds) weren't the comfiest but given the weather outside it definitely beat pitching our tents. Both rooms have a fireplace but there was no wood inside or outside that we could sustain a fire. Although wind & water tight it got very cold in the middle of the night, therefore, I would recommend plenty of thermal clothing or maybe a slow burning log!!
