I'll admit that Covid has piled the pounds on so I decided to return to swimming after a number of years. Last week I went to the alternative (RA swimming centre) and it was OK but more expensive per swim session. Today I tried Lammas and couldn't of had a more positive experience! Emma on reception was friendly and efficient and I was confident that I knew where to go and what to do. This swimming pool has more atmosphere and yeah there were the grumbles when people had to overlap me but who cares, right!!! Emma issued me my Active card on my exit and I will definitely be going back! okay

I go mainly for the gym, it's ok but very lacking in equipment and it's pretty small but you can get a workout done if it's not too busy. Staff a fantastic cant state that enough.

The only place I have found during these covid times that actually opens their pools for public swimming with your kids- I'm not talking about 'lane swimming ' for the competent or kids swimming lessons like most do, but where you can actually spend time with your child in the water with your own swimming instruction, fun or a combination of the two. My only disappointment is that during term time its weekends only no evenings. But well done Lammas in recognising this requirement in the first place where most others have failed in it.

Good leisure centre with squash courts a pool and an ice rink. Covid measures being taken in the gym are sensible and occupancy is set to a good level. In non covid times team squash is played by 2-3 teams playing out of lamas all over the county.

Well I was a member of the lammas leisure centre back in 2012 i used the gym twice....but unfortunately both occasions I went to use the gym people would all walk out the room and go ...n id be on my own.so I gave up. However in 2014 myself and my friend started going to the gym together for a few weeks and months and really enjoyed it but unfortunately lost contact with him as moved on with life. But in 2015 myself and my girlfriend at the time used to use the swimming pool we found it quite relaxing and a good way to meet new people and see the regulars. Apart from that.... haven't been back since... I've had no1 to go with! No fun on your own. All in all .... Very good sports facility.
