Booked in for a visit while on our way to our holiday cottage. The site was very interesting, the guide book was well worth the purchase as it had a tour of the grounds, and the staff were very accomodating. We had a great chat with the Site Manager about the history of the place and the local area and he very kindly showed us some of the geophysical surveys and site images. While it wasn't open to look inside due to COVID restrictions, I would definitely recommend dropping in!

The place is steeped in fascinating history and the EH guide on site really knows his stuff. Recommended. Buy the guide book as no audio tour here.

Not a massive site but very interesting to see the remains of the Abbey and it's story brought to life. St Peter & St Paul's church, which is right next door, is also worth visiting whilst at Muchelney Abbey with connections between the two.

A good look at how the Abbott lived with his monks . Nice staff and a warm welcome. Some good interactive displays.

Nice old abbey. Most of the original buildings are no longer there but what is there has some examples of the original stone work

Off the beaten track to learn more about the life of monk, and how about the only complete thatched monks' lavatory in England.

A lovely little abbey steeped in history. There is a car park on site which is free.
