From first consultation, through surgery, to discharge- review, lens replacement surgery and aftercare has been seamless. I have always felt well cared- for and supported even throughout 2020 when Covid19 moved the goal posts! Rakesh and his team are ultimate professionals in their field and really believe in what they're doing. They are just lovely human- beings. I can only give the highest praise for Mr. Rakesh Jayaswal of Laser Vision. 5 years ago he carried out laser assisted refractive lens exchange on both my eyes. The results were amazing and still are. The whole experience from initial consultation to to operation was not just professional but very reassuring. Mr Jayaswal explained everything very clearly which made the decision to continue with the procedure very easy. I recently experienced a slight problem with the vision in one eye, a Posterior Capsular Thickening, which Mr Jayaswal had explained could happen, during my first consultation. Within 2 weeks of contacting him, I was in for a quick YAG Capsulotomy and I am now back to having fantastic vision. .

From my first appointment with Rakesh to discuss my needs, I found him and his team friendly, relaxed and very professional. I was not happy wearing glasses, as having outdoor hobbies, I constantly knocked them off, or had difficulty seeing in the rain. I decided on lens replacement, and the results are amazing,. I can highly recommend anyone thinking of doing this to visit Rakesh and his team at Laser Vision Portsmouth. Best thing I ever did. Thanks Steve Mclearnon

Very professional and attentive care throughout the RLE procedure that I elected to undergo. Pre-op I was advised of the risks involved; this isn't without risk, but these operations are undertaken in large numbers now. The two operations themselves were quite brief, although there are a lot of drops required to prepare the eye for surgery. Post-op recovery has been good. 20/20 vision achieved in both eyes, although 3 months on I am still adjusting to the difference in prescription in both eyes (to enable short and lone vision). Overall, I am very satisfied and would recommend Mr Tappin and his team of healthcare professionals if you are considering this procedure. It is a joy to no longer require glasses and especially contact lenses.
