I just wanted to thank Claire for her reassuring advice and just for listening. I was having a wobble towards the end of my pregnancy and I thought I maybe a face to face consultant with an independent midwife may be what I needed but even just a phone conversation with Claire and she addressed all my concerns and I felt so reassured. It was just what I needed to get me back on track with my confidence for the birth of my baby and I am very grateful for the time Claire spent talking to me. If we ever decide on baby number 2 I will definitely be in touch with Claire and wouldn’t hesitate to book Claire’s services again in the future. Claire was highly recommended by my doula and I can see why. In hindsight I would have loved to have had Claire as my independent midwife for my whole pregnancy journey and birth as I can tell I would have felt reassured, listened to and in safe hands.

We chose Claire as our midwife for the birth of our second baby. From our first meeting with Claire everything felt like it should do, reminding us that having a baby is natural, we felt confident and well informed. As part of our package she included a briefing for me with instructions of when to contact her and what to do if my partner went into active labour before they arrived, allaying my biggest fear about having a home birth. I knew she was at the end of the phone whenever we needed her and my partner and baby had regular appointments with her throughout the pregnancy. These were certainly more thorough than anything my partner experienced with her first NHS birth. When the day came Claire and her colleague arrived quickly and immediately put us both at ease. We actually had a cup of tea as the birthing pool filled! It wasn't medicalised like the first time my partner birthed, we weren't pressured by time or to be in bed or anything like that. My partner moved around as she needed, everything was calm and quiet. Two hours later we had our second little baby, born without need of drugs, induction, gas and air, stirrups, anaesthetic or a dozen people milling round in a hospital theatre. The more that people discover people like Claire the more people will choose to have home births. I cannot thank her enough for what she did for us that day. Thank you Claire xx

Claire was my midwife for my second child. I had a lot of physical and emotional struggles during my pregnancy and I don't know what I would have done without her support. She helped me to access NHS and other services that I needed, like physiotherapy and counselling, but it was knowing she was supporting me all the way that go me through really difficult times. She listened when I needed to reflect with someone I trusted. She helped me to find my strength and I went on to have a straightforward home birth. I highly recommend her for antenatal, birth and postnatal care, and also for reflecting on previous birth experiences.

Open-minded, fiercely passionate and truly 'with woman', Claire is the epitome of real midwifery. When having my daughter, Claire took over my care after I decided that the NHS wasn't going to support me in the way that I needed. She provided my antenatal care at home, which was amazing and completely centred around how I was feeling and what I wanted. I had total freedom in how things were structured, based on what mattered to me and the available evidence, rather than policy, procedure and convention. Unfortunately, I had a few medical issues arise towards the end of my pregnancy and accepted induction of labour within the NHS, but Claire was supportive and receptive to my needs, never underestimating the disappointment I felt in how things had turned out. Her holistic approach to postnatal care was exactly what I needed - although my daughter wasn't my first child, I still felt very anxious and overwhelmed, but Claire was nurturing and always there. Having someone that REALLY knows you and your journey coming to visit in those days of transition and transformation - especially when you are feeling very vulnerable - is so, so valuable. I really can't recommend her enough.

Claire was my independent midwife for the birth of my second little boy. She made the experience incredible, visiting beforehand to see how things were progressing, discussing wishes for the birth, explaining the pros and cons of options and continual care after post birth. Completely amazing. She encouraged us to contact her if there was anything we needed, advice or just a friendly ear. We were lent really useful books about birthing and breast feeding. On the day we were encouraged to contact her when we felt something was happening and again as soon as we felt we wanted support, not required to wait for specific criteria like the NHS. She arrived immediately and my baby was born less than two hours later. The whole time she reassured us, kept a close but discrete eye on us, and talked me through everything, keeping me feeling calm and in control. It was a complete contrast to my first NHS birth and I couldn't recommend her highly enough. I couldn't have asked for a better birth or a more supportive and experienced midwife. Thank you Claire xx
