Jonathan is expert in knowing what to do. I visited him for years with ingrowing toenails and now having had a procedure with him I no longer suffer. I took my daughter with another issue, she was nervous about going but he quickly put her at ease and she is also now cured! Highly recommend Jonathan for chiropody related issues when you need an expert eye.

After being bed-ridden for a couple of years leading up to and following a transplant, my muscles had lost all strength and the padding under my feet had wasted away. By chance, I moved near Jonathan Stanley's clinic. He was very kind and quickly identified why it was so painful for me to walk and organised insoles. From hardly being able to walk at all, within a couple of months, we had a trip to Disneyland Paris and I was walking around 15 miles a day for three days. Now I am walking normally, without thinking about it. Jonathan truly changed my life. I am very grateful and thoroughly recommend him.

As a competitive short track speed skater, since the 60s, I have been plagued with persistent and debilitating lower back pain for the last 15 years, which the doctors put down to my sport, and my age. When I was in my mid fifties, one of my doctors suggested it was about time that I put my slippers on and sat in front of the fire, instead of skating! In my mid sixties, my feet became painful and swollen, and I could barely fit my skates on. The doctors did an ultrasound, blood tests, etc, and told me that there was nothing wrong with them, even though they were markedly swollen! With both my back and my feet so bad, I could barely train on the ice. I had numerous visits to Physiotherapists, etc, and got nowhere at all. Finally (at aged 67) a friend suggested Jonathan and Richard of the LEEDS BACK AND FOOT PAIN CENTRE, as they had worked wonders for him. Jonathan looked at my feet, then asked me to roll my trousers up, so he could see my legs. Within about 20 seconds he told me what was wrong, and that as a result, he said I had not only painful feet, but also very bad lower back pain, tight Achilles tendons and calf muscles, and he was 100% correct, before I had even told him about my back and tendons! My lower leg bones are visibly curved, and this has caused all the problems, as my skeleton was twisted out of place, my shoulders and hips completely misaligned. No doctor ever even looked at my legs, and if they had, I would have been sorted years ago. Jonathan on the initial visit straightened up my skeletal alignment, but told me it would go out again without custom orthotics to keep my alignment. My orthotics now keep my skeleton aligned mechanically, and between Jonathan with the work on my feet and Richard loosening up my glued up vertebra, they have sorted all the problems I mention above. Highly recommended, great value for money. :)

Jonathan has been treated both sons. As a semi professional basketballer, and after years of having ankle, Achilles and back problems, insoles given by NHS physios and exercises, nothing seemed to hold. Eventually we were recommended to go and see Jonathan Stanley. Jonathan looked at his whole posture and realigned everything, by making bespoke insoles to adjust his whole stance. The pain in his back and ankles disappeared almost immediately and we haven’t looked back. He has also treated younger son who is currently playing in the USA, using the same method of realigning hips and making bespoke insoles to change his posture. Jonathan has a great insight into treating the body as a whole. He has made it possible for our boys to play at a level which demands hours of training and which puts pressure on body, without the pain they were previously suffering. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We can all sleep properly again thanks to The Leeds Back and foot centre! Five years ago my son suffered a rare and horrendous injury - resulting in serious tendon, nerve and artery damage. After years of failed and negligent care (my opinion) from the NHS “experts” and countless, sleepless nights from the stresss and worry we looked for the best specialist available to help my son walk properly again.. We found Jonathan Stanley and his team and I can’t tell you how fortunate we are. He diagnosed not only the underlying issues from the injury but also the fact that my son has hyper-mobility which had resulted in a Totally mis-aligned skeletal structure. In less than a year he’s corrected all of the skeletal issues and my son can walk in a way that to the untrained eye would be no different to any other nine year old. Put it this way.. he was top scorer in foot ball this week and has been put forward for the elite team at gymnastics. Please go see Jonathan, he’s truly amazing!

I first visited Jonathan Stanley in Dec 2015 with a long standing problem with my hamstring/Fibula and left foot. He quickly diagnosed the issue and I was then fitted with some made to measure orthotics which arrived 3 weeks later. Over the last 3-4 months the pain has decreased significantly to the point where I am now cycling over 2 hours which was not impossible late 2015. I have since seen Jonathan twice for follow up appointments and he is very pleased with the progress I have made. I can't thank Jonathan enough for his help.
