Great restaurant when open but also the takeaway is 5 too, if you haven't tried it give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

We booked to eat at Gallery FortyOne as part of the eat out to help out scheme. When we arrived we were told there had been a mistake with the bookings and they had overbooked and there wasn't a table for us. We were offered a table outside as it was a warm evening we initially agreed. We did assume a table outside would be part of an eating area outside, unfortunately it wasn't. It was just a small table placed round the side of the restaurant. We sat down and were immediately bought cutlery and one menu and a promise to bring another menu as soon as one was available. We waited over 20 minutes before anyone came to see us again. We had watched many waitresses taking food and ordering drinks tables inside the restaurant and even saw them set up a table and put 4 menus on it (we still hadn't received a second menu). Eventually they did come out and we complained about the service. We were allowed to get a take away and while we waited we got a drink on the house. The take away was fairly quick but when we got home we realised they had missed part of the order and charged us for it. We won't be hurrying back the this restaurant which is a shame because the food was amazing.

4 of us had a meal here this evening, on the recommendation of a friend. What a find! The food and service were excellent. We will definitely be returning. If you want first class food at a very reasonable price and an extensive menu Gallery Fortyone is for you.

Well after reading the latest review I was in two minds but I'm happy to say we went and we're delighted with our food and service. I had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection my partner the lamb shank, both plates were almost licked clean believe me. Lovely interior and attentive staff, we will be visiting again for sure.
