Drove my partner to Leeds for the appointment Friday morning. Jeff, the guy on reception was amazing. He said to Jo after he asked her name 'I have been expecting you Jo' while pretending to stroke a cat like a Bond villain. He put Jo at ease straight away, which is great as she gets really anxious. Amazing. We loved it. Didn't have to wait and was called in a few minutes earlier than appointment time. Christina came out to meet Jo and the friendly smile never left her face. Jo said she completely put her at ease during the interview and she was out after around 15 - 20 minutes. Why can't all client facing government dept's be like this? The ones I've dealt with, especially Work and Pensions have been professional hypocrites who wouldn't cope if THEY were treated the way they treat us. I was made to feel like a criminal AND in the end they promised to ring me back but never did. Whoever is in charge at Leeds Passport office, should be promoted to looking after ALL government offices. LOL. Especially Work & Pensions, who don't seem to realise they are public servants. 10/10 guys. You should be proud of yourselves.

Leeds passport office are brillant. Nothing to worry about with interview. Very easy to find and the staff are really friendly. Would recommed this office to anyone. I would give plenty of time to find parking as most car parks are full. Best to get train as only 5 mintue walk from train station

went with my husband for our first passports, the guy on reception made us feel welcome and after briefly letting us know what to expect in the interview put us at ease, the lady who interviewed me was so friendly and easy to chat to, other government departments could take a leaf out of the passport office books, the job has to be done but it doesn't need to be traumatic, thank you

I used the park and ride as it was my first time in Leeds. The journey was very easy.

Had my interview today, not far from the train station it’s about a 5/10 minute walk, I used google maps to find the building but staff members in the train station can give you directions. Was having a day out in Leeds so I had my Mum and Sister with me, they were allowed to sit on the waiting room whilst I had my interview as it wasn’t busy. The guy who interviewed me was really polite and friendly, didn’t even seem like an interview, very laid back! These are the list of questions I got asked: . What is your name . Spell your full name . Have you been known by any other names . What is your date of birth . What country and town was you born . What is your current full address . How long have you lived there . Who is with you today . How many siblings do you have . What are your siblings names . How old are your siblings . What is your Mother’s name and date of birth . What is you Father’s name and date of birth . Who lives in your house . Describe the outside of your house . Describe the layout of your house . If I looked out your back window what would I see . If I looked out your front window what would I see . If I walked to the nearest shop to buy some milk how would I get there from your house That is all I was asked and that was the interview done. Just to make everyone aware I still live with my parents so I believe this is why I did not get any questions about household bills etc.
