For a combination of good drinks and good Japanese food Issho is the perfect place to go. The venue has a great atmosphere with a bustling crowd (pre-covid of course!) with a nice outdoor rooftop area and some cherry blossom tress within the building itself. Cocktails are generally served promptly and the food from the menu was immaculate especially elements such as the sushi and roasted lamb. The only thing that let this place down was I felt that the food served in the bottomless brunch, which I've attended also, is significantly below the standard of the rest of the menu. Other than the bottomless brunch option it is a perfect venue to sit back enjoy some drinks and food with friends and close ones.

Lovely venue and the service was great! I came at lunchtime for EOTHO and it was fairly busy. Really recommend salmon nigiri, chicken karaage and prawn tempura. Food was fried well (not dripping in grease). Nigiri was so fresh, on par with sushi from Japan. Purin is delicious of you like creamy custard! I recommend this place for a treat. It's a lovely location and even though it was busy I didn't feel uncomfortable with C19 or forgotten. Lots of sanitiser stations and screens.

I arrive at this marvelous restaurant every couple of days as I love the good mood that is unique to this restaurant. The crew is very loving and well trained. The service is very efficient. Also, the food they cook is highly distinguished. I frequent more than once and I was always pleased. The rate is modest. I highly suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.

To say the food was exquisite just doesn’t do it justice. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the lamb gyozas they were steamed but dry and over cooked and we sent them back. Would highly recommend the beef and mushroom sushi and the beef tartare which we tried for the first time and it was amazing. We also got some prawn dish they didn’t taste of much but were cooked very well. Loved the tempura vegetables that we got also crisp light and good quality. Service was lovely too just couldn’t really hear anyone through visors and loud music. A little on the expensive side however the quality is kind of worth it best meal I’ve had in a while.

I felt the decor and drinks were better than the food. Small portions and not very well seasoned. I've definitely had better Japanese food and I think the staff could be friendlier. Odd energy from both that waited our table and food was collected from our table before we'd finished eating without asking.

This is a super cool place for a night with friends. There is nothing not love about this restaurant. The vibe is really cool striking a mix of lively but chilled. The service is excellent with just the right level achieved and very friendly and attentive staff. The food is excellent with an interesting tapas style menu which isn’t overwhelming complicated. Drinks compliment this well with some excellent and unique cocktails. Highly recommended.

Really nice restaurant, which you'd expect considering the price! Most of the food was fab, although I wasn't keen on the weird cucumber salad thing that came with the lamb. I'd recommend a visit for a special occasion. They are able to cater really well for allergies/dietary needs too, which is nice - it's likely I will have to go gluten-free in the coming months, and I could see clearly what would be safe there. I can think of one other restaurant that I would compare food-wise, but for a third less - but like I say, for a special treat this is a good option and still deserving of five stars.

Was here for the first time with my friend for my birthday and it was fantastic. The food alone is delicious. We had the a la carte which had plenty of options and plenty of food. But what made it even more special for me was the staff. I was wished happy birthday by all staff members I came across and it was such lovely thoughtful gesture. Our waitress, Pola, was fantastic. She kept us amused throughout our meal. So friendly! Also, considering the current situation I felt very safe there. Everything was thought of. Tables were apart. Staff wore visors and menus were seen using the QR code so no touching anything. Brilliant! Can't wait to return.
