Every single time we've been to the LRI with our children the care has been exemplary. Yes we've had to wait sometimes but then we're lucky that we've always been on the accident side of things, with a few broken bones, bad cuts etc. I'd much rather wait and allow people with life critical injuries to be seen as soon as possible.

My wife gave birth here it was our first baby. The whole process (induced birth) took a really long time almost 24 hours and was complicated, also we hadn't slept in about 48 hours (couldn't sleep night before). In our experience the whole staff was very kind and did everything possible to help. While doing their job, the midwives told us stories and shared memories which calmed us down and gave an understanding that we're being handled by experienced people and absolute professionals. Doctors popped in as well once in a while just to check that everything is fine and were really kind and understanding. They all took the time to explain stuff we didn't understand - we asked A LOT of questions and they patiently answered and even explained each answer. We felt safe every time we had an issue and it was a complicated birth (temperature, bleeding, forceps) so they made us feel safe in a bad situation which went a long way. After birth my wife was kept in hospital under observation (due to complications) for about 2 days and was moved to a different ward where she still received the best care. They took the time to teach her and give her every tip they had about taking care of an infant. Thank you to all the exceptional people that assisted with this birth, we wish you all the best

We have had to (unfortunately) visit the LRI Children's Accident and Emergency department as our newborn has had a few issues with reflux, etc. Due to COVID-19, the hospital has been empty and the waiting times have been (thankfully) non existent. The staff - every single nurse, doctor, assistant or otherwise have been so pleasant and helpful. They really cared about our baby and her needs. Keep up the fantastic work! We really appreciate you.

Absolutely disgusting and frustrating how long you have to wait. No staff can give you an idea when you are likely to be seen.
