Unusual old society hall which has seen lectures by William Morris and George Bernard Shaw among others. Attractive Victorian building somewhat overshadowed by unattractive modern constructions in a rather run down area.

If anything is on the left, on the fringe, or a little odd, they probably have some of their meetings here. From the secular society (one of the oldest) to socialists, various labor leftists, geek and gamer clubs, they all meet here. Either in the main hall (with moveable tables chairs (please stack after the meeting) and a kitchen) or a smaller room. All available for higher to organize about setting the world to rights and making it and the city a better place.
Wonderful traditional karate school downstairs in the basement. Good instructors very knowledgeable. Established in the centre of Leicester since 1964. Great way of keeping fit whilst learning an intriguing martial art. Good character building for kids as well.
The hall is used by a club for senior citizens, once a week. It's spacious and clean and just right for the function of the club.
Good venue for small events. The staff are really friendly
Great Aikido Club on a Friday Night
Very basic facilities available for hire in an historic building that is badly in need if refurbishment and modernisation.
The Zimbabwe Action in Solidary (ZAS) Leicester Drop-in Centre and the Zimbabwe Association Choir meets at the Secular Hall every fortnight.
