Horrific experience in Nettleham ward as the lack of care and compassion when I was at my most vulnerable was disgusting. Having worked in care for the past 15 years, I wouldn't dream of treating someone the way that they treated me. I am now left with that as my memories for having my son, something which should be positive and I should want to remember. Thanks for ruining what should have been a lovely experience. The birth of my son was completely overshadowed by the awful postnatal care on Nettleham ward that I received and I am still suffering now because of it. I work in the care sector and wouldn't dream of treating someone who was vulnerable without care and compassion and would try and help them when they were very clearly struggling. Lessons need to be learned spectacularly as no one should have to go through what I did. I also needed follow up care due to a pre existing condition and no one could be bothered to contact my consultant which potentially could have put me at risk-i have got to wait much longer for an appointment due to this and I was discharged from hospital when I should have had a review to try and sort the pain that I am still suffering. There were also other issues such as being left without a call bell, being left in pain and apparent baby milk rationing when my son needed more as he was 9lb 2.5oz at birth and other issues. My husband was glad to get us home but not glad that I am to this day still suffering. My advice to anyone is to avoid like the plague.

little dated and those midwifes and doctors do amazing job, they seem very over worked try there best the only down i would say its shame 3 doctors all had diffrent opinion on my pain i was having , and i missed my family hraps . naomi was amaxing midwife to me . lovely staff.
My daughter had to sadly visit this department but the nurses were wonderful, they were kind and helpful.

My mrs had to have a complex c section as labour was not progressing after a long time & a lot of help. After delivery she had to have 3 hours in surgery to fix the damage but thankfully they did a great job. The facilities are a little dated but being upgraded currently & the staff are absolute legends.
Great staff who do a good job but desperately need more parking place here. Some people can't walk all the way from the main car park.
