Amazing place. Took the children to visit during one of their open evenings. It was cloudy which was a shame but didn't take away from a great experience. The people there were really good answering the children's questions and very hospitable. Definitely worth a visit when open

Had a brilliant couple of hours at this magical place. Went to an open evening and met some wonderfully, enthusiastic and friendly members who welcomed us into a world of wonder. They were more than happy to impart and share their wealth of knowledge and experience and answer my neverending barrage of questions. Looking forward to returning.

As a member for several years, I find the L A S an inspiring place of knowledge, questioning and wonder. It's a place where the biggest questions are central to all our activities. All people are welcome though access for folk with mobility problems are difficult (50 steps). The cost of membership is very low and the company is great.
