I was expecting different service, I took my bike in for a recall, asked them for a quote to change both swingarm rubber boots on my r1200gs 2006, they ordered the parts a seal that was leaking, and some other minor repairs that needed addressing, I dropped off the bike early morning to receive a call around 15:00 hrs to say it was finished but some work could not be addressed, I would be explained upon arrival. The rear part needed to be replaced not fixed and that it could cost around 1400 labor and that it was fully rusted. I took it to a BMW specialist and it was not in the state that was described. The repair will cost 350 with parts and labor. Probably if BMW would reconsider this type of service they would get more customers or probably they don't need customers like me. What an absolute pleasure to do business with Lind Motorrad Garden City! Went only to look and test ride one of the bikes and left having paid the deposit for a new bike... :-) Typical... :-)) Part exchanged my old bike, chose few extra bits and two weeks later rode out on a new bike. Couldn't be happier! Dealt with Russel who went above and beyond to accommodate me. Russ made the whole process smooth and straightforward. Made me feel like a friend rather than a customer. Thought I'd give LIND a go when I got a really positive response to a service request. Booked a service well over a month in advance. Managed to get a slot for my BMW r1200rt to be collected and returned. On the day I was told the bike wouldn't be collected until the afternoon after I chased them twice for an update. Then I was told I was never going to get it serviced on the same day anyway. Failed to set my expectations. Seriously disappointed. Luckily I can rely on Bahnstormer.
Only went in to inquire, staff were great, helpful honest and knowledgeable.
If I could post a sub zero review I would. I was there today 24 July with my partner who had her bmw bike serviced. While waiting I was accused of taking more than one mask and to return the other as a member of staff thought I'd taken more than one. I had picked up one and left it as it was missing an ear string, I had put a non faulty one on. This accusation was not done politely, or one to one, but was publicly announced from 15 feet away in front of the service staff and any one with decent hearing. To say it was untrue and unnecessary is clear. The embarrassment was intended, the point of it was to upset. The consequence is I'll never spend any money with this dealership in future. I will actively discourage others to do the same. 25/7 update - thank you for your apology, it is appreciated.
