So my two girls were with Linda from January until the end of March. I went back to work after maternity but unfortunately I ended up having to leave. Therefore I took the girls out of Linda’s care with the full intention of sending them back when I found another job. The girls had fun there and Linda picked up from Marlborough so it was a perfect arrangement. Obviously I couldn’t afford childcare without a job and there was no point sending them when I was at home. However in the time between taking the children out from her care and finding a job, Linda’s attitude toward my husband, the girls and myself was awful. My eldest, Grace (who is 3), was ignored even when she made a cheery ‘hi Linda’, to the point she actually said to me ‘why doesn’t Linda like me or talk to me anymore’. For a 3 year old to say that was awful. So when it came to me getting a job I decided that we would rather put the girls with someone we felt more comfortable with. It’s a real shame because at the time the girls loved it there and like I said. We had fully intended to send the girls back there when I returned to work. It seems like when in her care she is fine with them but if like me you leave your job (for a very good reason) and have to remove them, then you’re treated completely different.
