Darren is one of the nicest guys I have met, he couldn't have done anymore to have helped and assist with the hire. I hired the Ducati Multistrada and son-in-law the Triumph Tiger 1200 which we toured Wales and the West Country. The bikes were great and in good condition. Darren delivered and picked up the bikes for us which made the hire very convenient. We shall certainly be hiring from South East Motorcycle Hire again in the near future. We are glad we rented our bikes from Darren. I had the Multistrada1200 and my friend had the Tracer 900. Both great bikes in top notch conditions, very well maintained. We had no issues whatsoever during our tour from London to Isle of Man and back. Overall, South East Motorcycle is highly recommended and we will definitely rent bikes from Darren again during our future UK visits.
Darren is one of the nicest blokes I've come across. He stocks great bikes at the best rates and goes out of his way to ensure you have a great time. Nothing is toouch trouble, including picking you up, dropping you off. Luggage and roadside assistance all included. I've rented from many companies in many countries tries and SE Motorcycle Hire is in my top three.
Had a very positive experience hiring a bike (BMW F800 GS) from Darren. I went to Ireland on the ferry and had a great time zooming about the west coast. The bike had clearly been well maintained by Darren and performed reliably. Coming from Australia, I hired clothing as well as the bike and everything was perfect. Darren is very friendly, customer focused and flexible about pick up and drop off times. Darren gladly picked me up and dropped me back to Lingfield Railway Station (very conveniently on the line to Victoria). I would not hesitate in recommending South East Motorcycle Hire.
I would concur that Darren is indeed one of the nicest blokes. Even though he is ex Royal Artillery rather than a decent regiment!! Only kidding Darren. First time I have hired and after a couple of phone calls I found he couldn’t have been more helpful. I have not ridden for many years and must say I was a tad nervous taking out a 1200 after so long but he was excellent at putting me at ease. Showed me all the controls and away I went. He certainly try’s to ensure that you have the best experience. Fortunately I and the bike came back undamaged but his damage policy is more than reasonable and fair. The bikes are all nearly new and in great condition, plus all fully insured and breakdown cover for Europe. I did a little shopping around and the prices are the best I could find too. He is clearly passionate about bikes and cares about your experience. Highly recommend and I will only hire from Darren in the future........if he lets me back after the artillery comment. So much better and cheaper way of getting the use of quality bikes if you only ride occasionally or want an upgrade for a trip. Who would have thought some bikes now have cruise control? Although it came in handy on the ave speed camera area and a novelty too. Thanks Darren.
I found Darren by chance, and am I glad I did! From my first phone call to him I was impressed with his service and professionalism. He kept in touch with us to ensure that everything was in place and organised, for our special trip to Europe. I can not recommend him enough and the service was 1st class. Absolute smashing bloke. We will definitely be back! Thanks very much for everything !!
I've hired a couple of bikes from Darren and it's been first class both times. I thought it was only fair I gave him a review. First of all both bikes were immaculate when i turned up which is nice, some hire bike's I've had previously from other companies can be a bit tatty. The first was a Ducati 1200 - what a machine, if you need to cover a lot of miles very quickly this is great. The second was a Triumph Tiger 1050, such a smooth tourer I could ride this for weeks! I'm going to come back and try a couple of the others. I honestly can't see myself hiring from anyone else. Darren just does things right!
Darren provided a great bike and a free upgrade with really flexible times around pick up and delivery. The bike was a lot of fun and I got some great riding in around the south east of the UK with my dad. Highly recommend his service and we will be back next year!
