I know the university of Liverpool recommend this place for all it's students but if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, or if you're concerned about your mental health, register with a different one. The way the practice is organised seems really counterintuitive and it feels like it's managed without any regard for the patients experience.

If I could give no stars then I would. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional GP's who clearly know nothing about Diabetes. They postposoned my prescription without any communication leaving me with 4 needles left to administrate insulin into my body because my prescription was ordered to early by myself. How dare you tell a diabetic how many needles she can use pair day, that is like me telling you to only eat 3 times a day. Cleary no knowledge on diabetes as the GP I spoke to asked me 'if I reuse my needles' which goes to show they have no understanding of type 1 diabetes or care about the health and safety of their patients as no professional practitioner would ever advice using needles more than once as this can cause infection and lumps on the skin. I shouldn't have to go through this process every time I order a prescription, it makes diabetes even harder to deal with when I'm fighting for life saving equipment. Unless you live within someone who has diabetes or have diabetes yourself, you don't know what it's like, no degree can make you understand how GP's make their patients feel when they have to fight for their prescription, a prescription that keeps them alive. FOUR needles I had left its disgusting to leave your patient in that position. When I order a prescription its because I'm low on stock, did that thought ever enter your head? Richard who I was speaking to on the phone also buttoned the call without even allowing me to finish our discussion even though it was his mistake, asking me to ring the pharmacy because 'he was too busy' Appalling behaviour, shouldn't be allowed to practise with a disgusting and unsympathetic behaviour. If you're thinking of moving doctors surgeries, don't chose Brownlow if you want to be treated like rubbish!

Despite all the other reviews I have personally found the staff here to be very kind and helpful. Very understanding of my problems and accommodating. They have always seen me in a timely manner and were always very polite.

Extremely condescending and rude receptionist; kept making snarky little remarks about my situation over the phone when I was trying to book an appointment and had no understanding of mental health or why I might be in the situation I was in, despite me explaining this to her twice. Couldn't book me in for 2 weeks which is probably not her fault but she was very snippy and rude about it. I have never had service this bad with any other GP, and it's a shame because I now have to go further afield to seek medical attention that I need as soon as I can get it.

Honestly not surprised at all the negative reviews here. I've never personally had a problem with the way I've been treated like a lot of people seem to be complaining about, but the organisation of this place is just appalling. I've never (I repeat - NEVER) had Brownlow Health get back to me when they've said they would. Whether it be online consultation, an update from a Doctor, or a promised email to let me know medication has arrived, I've always been the one to call up weeks later asking what's going on. I'm not sure what the processes are in terms of how the practice is managed, but they're clearly not working. I've thankfully only ever had to wait for asthma-related updates at worst, but I can't imagine being a student with something serious. I'd be so worried.
