Pleasure to deal with. Great service. Gearbox fixed quickly and at a fair price after a previous garage had not diagnosed the problem correctly and charged me for work that did not fix the problem. The guys here were quick, efficient and top quality. When I received the car back they had even cleaned it inside and out. Little touches like that just show their level of customer care. Highly recommend!

Following a “Transmission Malfunction” warning and loss of drive, I was told by People’s Ford that my 6yr old, 60k miles Ford S-Max needed a whole new transmission and quoted me over 4500 for this. A call to Ronnie at North West Transmissions reduced this bill by a third, making it a more economically viable repair given the cars age. He was able to arrange collection of the car from People’s and had a transmission in stock, so completed the work in a couple of days (Ford could not give me a timescale as the transmission was not in stock). I’ve driven the car for a couple of weeks and approx 500 miles and it’s been fine. Gearbox came with a 12 month / 12k mile warranty which gives me confidence in the quality and workmanship. This is not the type of repair most people would want to experience but North West Transmissions made it more palatable, offered excellent customer service and a quick turnaround. Given this and the fact that they back up their product and workmanship with a warranty, I would recommend this garage for transmission repairs.
