This serene little church is a prime example of Victorian Gothic revival featuring many stunning stained glass windows. The rich interior is bright, highly decorated and full of marble. Much of the High Alter, reredos and pulpit have been altered in the years following their design and installation by John Francis Bentley. A fire in the 1970s caused extensive damage to the roof and though it was all repaired, the lantern above the chancel was never reinstalled. There are several monuments, memorials and chapels inside the church dedicated to a variety of saints and important religious figures. The church itself seats only around 350, so mass is held almost every day and several times on Sunday.

Absolutely lovely Church, very warm welcoming people and the Church itself is a fabulous piece of architecture. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is visiting the city to just take a few hours to visit the Church and look at the historical beauty that is Our Lady if the Annunciation!! I can only go from my experience however as an outsider I was welcomed by the parishioners into the community as if I were one of their own. No one has God in a box, remember this, as wars have been fought by people who think their God is the one true God. If you think you can put God in a box you are wrong, God is omnipresent and loves all His children. The world would be a better place if people understood that no one group or Church can 'hold God in a box' This is the truth, violence is never God's way, those that choose this path have failed before they begin. Truly accepting the Lord God into your life and not wishing everyone to believe what you, a flawed human being believes will open your eyes to the truth that unless you truly are a servant of the Lord God, violence is never God's way. Please look through the teachings of the Lord and you will find the path to your salvation, do not succumb to the devil and use God's words to justify hate or violence. This is a community whom fully appreciated this and welcomed me without question. Have Faith that you too can be saved if you place your faith in the Lord, every life that is taken in the Lords name will strengthen the devil so together and only together can we find true happiness eternal. Say the Lords Prayer and savour each and every word for this is the most powerful tool you have. God bless each and every one of you.

A very pretty church. But not very friendly priests. More concerned about plight of asylum seekers than their own flock. Did have a few concerns leaving my child with the local Redemptorist priest. Never once received a visit from local priest even though I had lived in the parish most of my life. I lived in London for number years and I experienced the opposite to Bishop Eton's priests. I will never forget how local catholic church in London made such a positive effect on my family. The Bishop Eton Redemptorist experience was at best unchristian. I think Bishop Eton's priest's must worship a different god from those in London?!

Parishioner for almost 40 years. This is a warm welcoming place, with caring priests and a lovely atmosphere. Historically it was a shrine to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, the first outside Rome. The church is beautiful and kept open for prayer most days.
