The cottage has received some bad reviews in the past but that was down to previous ownership. The cottage has new owners and has had a new lease in life, the living space is fantastic and upstairs has been renovated to an amazing standard. On a nice day, sitting outside on the well-kept lawn having a BBQ the horses could come and pay you a visit, highly recommended to get away from the rat race and just switch off.

My family booked tirylan barn as a surprise for my special birthday. What a let down when we arrived. The place looked as if it hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupant. Dirty towels left in laundry basket, dishes left in the dishwasher. Not to mention the moths and flies that had not been cleaned up. Floors had not been swept. Mould on bed sheets. It was such a let down to the family as my daughter had stayed there a few years ago and said how beautiful it was. Obviously it must have been brand new then. As it was my birthday we made the most of it but I would definitely give this property a miss. I didn't even shower for the whole weekend as there were hairs and grime in all of the bathrooms. Such a shame the owners have not got any interest in a property that could be lovely.
Unless these barns have a significant renovation I would avoid booking for a holiday. The electrics are unsafe with tape over the switches, one of the bathrooms flooded when we used the washing machine or shower. Child safety gate was torn of the wall (we had to repair as we had children with us). And a few other issues that we took pictures of and made owner aware of but never even got a reply. Also the road up to the barns is horrendous on your car unless it’s a 4x4.
Beautiful location, but the barns themselves leave a lot to be desired. On our stay, toilets were blocked, and the hot tub and one of the showers was broken. The owner took well over two weeks to return our deposits, and was rude or unresponsive when we chased. Not recommended.
Just spent the weekend at both Barns with family And friends. What a location. The Barns were Gorgeous and just what we needed for the 14 of us. WiFi was appreciated by the younger one's. Bedding and Towels were provided. Loads of space for us all, including 2 Small Dogs. TVs provided in most rooms. Everything you need was provided. Only disappointment was that the decking was broken outside Teilo Barn but Elin informed us of this before our arrival, so no big deal. I'm sure this will be fixed prior to Summer bookings. We will certainly use again. We were considering returning for New Year but see it was already booked. Elin kept us informed of anything we needed to know leading up to our visit. Just beware that the road leading up to the main entrance (around 200 yards) and is a farm type Road with lots of holes this time of year. Trust me, your not lost and is well worth the careful approach. Brilliant views and walks from the Barns. Thanks for a Fantastic Holiday Ian, Family and Friends
