We went in on a whim/split second decision. Oh my.. the BEST chips we've ever had. They're fried in dripping so are utterly delicious. The scampi was plump and the calamari soft and delicate. Please visit this place

Had a portion of Haddock , Chips and Mushy peas . 8.80 Prices are clearly displayed and easy to read and understand . Nice young man who served me and put plenty of vinegar on and a small amount of salt then put another good splash of vinegar over the top as requested . Not the cheapest of places , but open all day and it was a massive portion I ended up sharing it with my Wife who had bought a Veggie Sausage roll as no way was I going to be able to eat it on my own . The fish was awesome lovely crispy batter with the fish underneath just moist and flaked open with that glisten look of a really fresh piece of fish and tasted really fresh with good flavour . Chips were great nice crunch but lovely and fluffy and moist underneath not sure what potatoes they use but they had a really nice taste to them as sometimes potatoes can be a bit bland . Mushy peas were ok but slightly on the thin side without that real hint of pea flavour however a good portion for 1.10 . Not the cheapest place , but big big portion so if you are hungry or greedy the price is offset by the generous portion . I would buy from here again as the Haddock and chips were 5* and that is the main thing .
Very pleasant experience. Fully Covid secure. Track and Trace forms and socially distanced tables. Very friendly staff, great service and wonderful fish and chips. Well recommended.
Nice enough place with good food. I had the cod, chips and peas. Fish was good but chips seemed a little under done, however everybody else in my party had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I'm no Gordon Ramsey so it might just've been a reflection on my personal preference as apposed to the quality of the food. I will say the burgers looked amazing and if I do go again I will definitely be trying. Toilets were upstairs so could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. There may well be a disabled toilet on the ground floor, however I didnt see one myself. I did also notice that a track and trace card had been left on our table, but no mention was made of it when we were seated and no pen was provided for it to be filled in. I would've thought good practice would be to take customers details down before seating them. The whole process seemed a little half arsed.
Just had an amazing meal . Fish chips and peas. And Pizza and chips. Awesome meals. Very lovely and helpful staff. Restrooms were good. Location great and it set us up for the rest of the day. If you appreciate my review please hit the like button and thanks
