During my visits to Prince Philip in the past couple of weeks, I have been horrified to find a number of hospital staff casually sashaying around the hospital without masks, as though it’s just a normal holiday at the seaside. Ironically, the porter supervising the hospital entrance, who was insisting that all visitors wear a mask and sanitise their hands, wasn’t actually wearing a mask himself! - Occasionally he was just wearing a plastic face shield, which will do doodley-squat for protecting him/others by itself, whilst he refused to wear a mask! Alas, he noticed me trying to capture the evidence, and tried to hide as I took the photo. However, I still managed to catch half of his unmasked face as he quickly moved inside. What message does this irresponsible behaviour send to all the virus deniers and anti-vaxxers who claim the virus is a hoax? - The staff at PPH are not only putting themselves/others at risk, but are sending out mixed messages that are contributing to conspiracy theories!

I had to go for an x-rayand it has been a while since I was last at PPH, but what struck me most, from the moment I stepped through the main doors, was how spotlessly clean all the areas were. The staff were courteous, helpful and professional and I was x-ray immediately and went on my way.
Friendly attentive staff during these very uncertain times. Attended a while back for what I now know is a mechanical neck problem, the staff were very helpful and referred me to their physiotherapy department. Sadly the exercises that were sent to me after my phone call appointment did not help. I've now found someone that has been of tremendous help.
Why exactly are the hospital porters, healthcare assistants, and admin staff, freely wandering around the hospital without surgical masks on, in the midst of an increase in Covid-19 cases? If my vulnerable mother ends up catching Covid (and thus passes away) during her long stay in hospital, you can expect the biggest Gross Negligence Manslaughter case in the history of Hwyel Dda. Incidentally, I took photographic evidence of all the staff not wearing masks, whilst I visited last week. Sort yourselves out!
