What a fantastic place

Lovely little rocky bay, with bizarrely warm turquoise water. When the tide is out you can wade over to the little island. It's a beautifully picturesque isolated spot. Enjoy!
An astoundingly beautiful golden-sand bay with it's own Island just offshore and a small car park. The sea is crystal clear and fairly shallow just off the beach. Ideal for a swim. We've canoed right from the beach here, and had a picnic on the lovely Samalaman Island. There's plenty of rugged coastline to explore by boat heading West as far as Smirisary. Loch Ailort isn't too far away (1.5 to 2 miles) with it's own Islands guarding the entrance to it. A local deer often wanders around the bay too. The Glenuig Inn is just along the road (booking advised). The Lochailort Inn (another lovely place to eat) back along the A861 often has tables available if the Glenuig is fully booked. Both have excellent food. Well worth a trip out along the single track to this lovely isolated bay.
Very clear blue water and great value.
Like a beach would be in your head after reading an Enid Blyton book.
